MARION SAUVEBOIS discovers a new macabre production for 2016

THE show that stormed into the finals of Britain’s Got Talent is back to mark its 21st anniversary in spectacular style.

Now a West End smash, The Circus of Horrors started its gruesome journey at the 1995 Glastonbury Festival.

It became an instant hit, touring all over the world and sharing the bill with some of the biggest names in entertainment, such as Alice Cooper, Eminem, Oasis, Iron Maiden, Muse and the Foo Fighters.

The Circus of Horrors made headlines again recently after a memorable run on Britain’s Got Talent. It is the only circus to date to have reached the final of the talent show.

The circus boasts impressive TV credits including The X Factor, The Slammer, Daybreak, Fairground Attractions, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Body Shockers, Fake Reaction, This Morning, Ant & Dec and The One Show.

Last year, the troupe made history by becoming the first circus to appear in a West End theatre for 100 years.

After a series of macabre productions, the circus is back with Welcome to the Carnevil.

Set in Victorian London, Jack the Ripper’s hunting ground, in 1899, the show follows a young girl dreaming of running away with the circus.

Her dream turns into a horrible nightmare when she joins Carnevil, a motley crew of Killer Klowns, sword swallowers, demon dwarfs, death-defying aerialists, a Guinness World Record holding Hairculian Diva swinging by her hair and many more unusual characters.

The plot twists and turns with grisly murders and sensational shocks – all interwoven with some of the greatest and most bizarre circus acts on earth.

It is performed by an almighty cast and accompanied by devil driven rock’n’ roll band Dr Haze & The Interceptors from Hell.

Prepare for a show ruled by the undead and a truly breath-taking flaming apocalypse finale.
