TAKE three old ladies strapped for cash, throw in the prospect of redundancy, a risqué side-line and voila, you get Dirty Dusting.
The show follows Gladys, Elsie and Olive, cleaning ladies about to be put out to pasture by their overzealous office manager Dave. Feeling they have little chance of gaining employment elsewhere, the ladies have to find a way to boost their income somehow.
A chance wrong number gives them a great idea. Why not run a sex chat line? After all, their age and appearance won’t matter on the telephone and provided they can keep this a secret from their boss they could be onto a winner. Needless to say, things don’t go entirely according to plan.
Dirty Dusting is a heart-warming feel-good comedy that will have you rolling in the aisles and smiling every time you answer the phone.
The show appears at the Wyvern Theatre on Thursday, June 30 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £21 and available on 01793 524481 or at swindontheatres.co.uk.
