SHAKESPEARE’S timeless tale of star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, will roll into the Arts Centre on Wednesday.
In this new adaptation, Traffic of the Stage vows to breathe new life into the classic and show its relevance even to this day. In the play, a controlling older generation undervalue the potency of youthful love and desire and, in seeking to repress their children’s emotional growth, they propel them into clandestine rebellion, with devastating consequences.
Romeo and Juliet appears at the Arts Centre on October 12 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £14.25. To book visit swindontheatres.co.uk or call the box office on 01793 524 481.
