YOU won't get to watch from the comfort of your seat as Jason Byrne rants, laughs and spews out a glut of one-liners. That's just not his style. The comic has rediscovered his love of props recently, and they work far better with audience participation. So prepare to be dragged on stage and parade around atop of giant duck, slip on supersize rubber hands or trot around on a hobby horse in Propped Up tomorrow night at the Wyvern.

It is this brand of organised chaos and near legendary stock-in-trade audience pranks which have seen him hailed as “the outright king of live comedy” after all.

But that doesn't mean Byrne is a one-trick pony. His Radio 2 show was awarded a Sony Radio Gold Award. He recently hosted a new studio based comedy chat show, Jason Byrne’s Snaptastic Show for TV3 in Ireland and is co-presenter of wildlife-themed entertainment programme Wild Things on Sky.

Jason Byrne will be at the Wyvern Theatre tomorrow at 8pm. Tickets are £20.25. To book visit swindontheatres.co.uk or call 01793 524 481.
