Baker's Dozen, a band of singers who perform early polyphonic music and traditional choral folk, pictured, will be dressing up in festival style this weekend.

The Royal Wootton Bassett Arts Festival Autumn Concert takes place at Lime Kiln on Sunday, November 6 from 7pm.

Tony Cole the musical director of Baker's Dozen will lead his team of sopranos, altos, bass singers Haydn Williams and Steven Purvis and tenor Chris Metcalfe, in the concert which takes as its theme Shakespeare's 400th anniversary.

Joining Baker's Dozen in the concert are the Royal Wootton Bassett Choral Society with musical director Fiona Fleet, who is also one of the main stays of the festival.

Striking up the band will be the Festival Chamber Orchestra backing individual singers, choirs and musicians.

Chairman of the festival, John Davies, said: "Special features will be the performance of the Violin Concerto in A minor, Op 3 No 6, Vivaldi, 1st movement by Celine Heath playing a violin solo with the orchestra and an Oboe Concerto, Mozart, by Niamh Potter with her oboe solo backed by the orchestra, and Masque for The Tempest for three Sopranos by Frank Harvey, which will be sung by Lucy Bosley, Bethany Pearson, Becci Smith.''

There will also be a performance from the Harmony Singers with some Elton John and Buddy Holly songs, conducted by John Fitter. The concert begins at 7pm.
