SCORES of children will revisit some of the Bard’s timeless works at the Shakespeare Schools Festival next week.
Pupils in Swindon will take over the Wyvern Theatre from 7pm, between Monday 14 and Tuesday 15, as part of the national celebration. They will be among 35,000 youngsters across the country to stage abridged Shakespeare productions.
The Shakespeare Schools Festival is the UK’s biggest youth drama festival and enables over 1,000 primary, secondary, and special schools to bring the bard’s beloved productions to a paying audience in their local theatre.
Tickets cost £10, and £8 for concessions.
