Growing up on a pig farm in Canada is not the obvious background for a career in music, but for flautist Lisa Nelsen it was undoubtedly the right path.
Lisa’s choice was supported by her parents, who were both professional singers, and she has since worked all over the world.
On Sunday, November 27, Lisa is heading for Swindon to join up with cello player Julian Metzger and the town’s own concert pianist Paul Turner. Together they form the trio Enigma 14.
They will be playing chamber music, including a quirky piece called Op 83 for Flute Cello and Piano by Lieberman, commissioned by another famous flautist, James Galway, for his wife, at an afternoon concert.
It is part of the Swindon Recital Series and takes place at the Arts Centre, Devizes Road in Old Town from 3pm.
