MARCUS Brigstocke is fed up. He has had it with tax dodgers, a certain Paul Dacre of the Daily Mail, the whole of UKIP - and don't get him started on ISIS and George Osborne. Of yes, and there's the small matter of being single.

In Why the Long Face? he will vent, rant and throw in oodles of giggles; he is a comedian first, grump second.

The comic and broadcaster won the BBC New Comedian Award at the Edinburgh Festival in 1996 and the rest as they say, is history.

Radio 4 has become somewhat of a second home to him with regular appearances on The Now Show and Just A Minute, and he has notched up an impressive list of TV credits, including team captain on Dave's Argumental and host of BBC4’s The Late Edition and I’ve Never Seen Star Wars. He has also thrown his two cents in on Have I Got News For You, QI Sorry I’ve Got No Head, The Late Edition, and the 11 O’Clock Show.

Marcus Brigstocke comes to the Wyvern Theatre tonight at 8pm. Tickets cost £19.50. To book go to swindontheatres.co.uk or call 01793 524481.
