THE controversy surrounding Lady Chatterley’s Lover – it sparked a famous obscenity trial in Britain and similar upheavals overseas – may be long since past, but the story has lost none of its ability to enthral readers and audiences.

The D.H. Lawrence classic sees the upper crust Connie Read turn away from her paralysed and emotionally distant husband, Sir Clifford Chatterley, and find comfort instead in the arms of a gamekeeper, Oliver Mellors. The unlikely union leads to an inevitable public scandal.

Blue Orange Theatre’s production of the love triangle story will be performed at Swindon Arts Centre on Sunday, February 19 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £12.50. To book go to swindontheatres.co.uk or call 01793 424481.
