WOMEN and girls from all backgrounds will be getting together tomorrow for International Women’s Day Swindon Community Festival.

Between 9.30am and 3.30pm there will be a host of activities and events to get involved with.

The event will be launched at 10am by the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire and Deputy Mayor of Swindon.

Throughout the day there will be wellbeing and exercise advice, creative writing workshops, poetry and song open mic performances, origami and more.

The day aims to honour the contributions of women to arts and culture, business, communities and charities, and design and technology.

Events are taking place across three venues - Swindon Central Library, No 9 Gallery Artsite and the Museum of Computing.
