TIGHTLY-PLOTTED, fast-moving and funny thriller Recipe For Murder is at Swindon Arts Centre for two more nights.

The Phoenix Players, one of the leading drama groups in the town, is performing the play, written by JD Robins and directed by Sally Lovejoy.

As the play begins, David Lawson is not a well man. His sister thinks his wife Claire does not take proper care of him and a visiting journalist begins to suspect that Claire may be guilty of more than just negligence.

The Phoenix Players has a long association with the Arts Centre in Devizes Road, dating back to its roots in the 1950s. The group has staged more than 200 plays since then, and has a membership of about 40 people, across the age range.

The show begins at 7.30pm and tickets are £11. To book, call 01793 524481 or visit swindontheatres.co.uk.
