Romance with Ruby

A NIGHT not to miss for incurable romantics, Ruby Rose Ray’s Vintage Valentine’s Supper will take place at The Place in the Wyvern Theatre tomorrow night.

Doors open at 7pm, and supper begins at 7.30pm, when a delicious three-course meal will be served.

Acclaimed vocalist Rachael Pennell, described as one of the UK’s finest jazz singers by the Los Angeles Times, will star as host Ruby Rose Ray, a woman with a complicated love life.

Expect a charming, light-hearted dinner theatre experience, as you enjoy dinner and watch as Ruby’s affairs unfold before you.

The menu includes ham hock, creamy mustard and tarragon chicken supreme, and salted caramel and chocolate torte.

Musical accompaniment comes in the form of Ruby’s Radio Band, a treat for jazz fans, with Stephen Sherriff on piano, Swindon’s own Ian Bateman on trombone (voted Britain’s top jazz trombonist several times) and the grand master of the double bass, Clive Morton - who has worked with Frank Sinatra and Stephane Grappelli, as well as jazz tutoring Jamie Cullum.

Dress to impress for a romantic night out and the perfect treat for your loved one, friends or family.

Tickets are £40. To book, call 01793 524481 or visit swindontheatres.co.uk.
