THE 1970s classic television comedy Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em enjoys a renaissance on stage starring Joe Pasquale as the loveable, accident-prone Frank Spencer.

The most successful sitcom of the decade gave us the hapless Frank and his long-suffering wife Betty, with catch phrases galore and a never-ending list of disasters such as roller-skating escapades and runaway chickens.

Written and directed by Guy Unsworth, the play opens at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon on Wednesday next week, and runs each evening until Saturday, February 24, with 2.30pm matinees on Thursday and Saturday.

Sarah Earnshaw plays Frank’s wife Betty, and Susie Blake takes the role of his disapproving mother-in-law, Mrs Fisher.

Joe Pasquale, billed a national comedy treasure, is one of the hardest working and top-selling live comedians in British comedy today. He appeared in New Faces and went on to win I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and host The Price is Right.

Susie Blake will be well-known to audiences from starring in the Victoria Wood Show.

Tickets are £28.50 to £38, with concessions available.
