EDWARD/Edalia, who identifies as a trans /non-binary actor, poet, animator and musician, will be presenting their work in progress, Too Pretty to Punch, at the Shoebox Theatre tomorrow night.

The show is described as a one-person celebration of trans visibility and self-acceptance, with a mix of clowning, mime, music, spoken word and video projection.

Ed Day has worked as an actor for over a decade, mainly touring Shakespeare, physical theatre and children’s theatre but also creating new work. In 2014, Ed created a show called In the Surface of a Bubble, about a girl struggling to come to terms with a transgender parent.

Shoebox, in Theatre Square, Swindon, gives theatre makers the opportunity to develop and share a new idea in a scratch performance - and it offers audiences a chance to see and support new work before it is fully developed, and to discuss and be part of the evolution of a new project.

Tickets for the scratch performance are ‘pay what you decide,’ so you do not have to hand over any money until you have seen the show. Too Pretty to Punch starts at 8pm and is suitable for audiences aged 14+.
