COMEDIAN and television presenter Mark Steel visits Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre tonight, with his reassuringly titled show, Every Little Thing’s Gonna Be Alright.

Mark explores how much has changed since 2016 - when it seemed highly unlikely the UK would vote to leave the EU, when he thinks we had a reasonable opposition to the Tory Government, and Donald Trump was a buffoon who surely would not beat Hilary Clinton. Mark, meanwhile, was living the married suburban ideal - but now everything has changed.

But don’t worry - Mark thinks Every Little Thing’s Gonna Be Alright, and the show is optimistic:

“Despite all the chaos around us at the moment the human spirit will see us through,’’ he says..

His sell-out show Who Do I Think I Am, revealed his natural father was a world backgammon champion. Now the star of Radio 4’s show Mark Steel’s in Town, and winner of a newspaper columnist of the year award in 2015, Mark is back on the road with his new show.

The presenter of the BAFTA nominated Mark Steel Lectures for BBC2, a regular on BBC One’s Have I Got News For You and Radio 4’s Newsquiz, Mark has also appeared on BBC2’s QI and Room 101. He has written several acclaimed books, including Reasons To Be Cheerful and What’s Going On . The show starts at 8pm and is suitable for ages 14 plus.
