Swindon’s Pat Bennett, principal of the Estelle School of Dance, is celebrating her school’s 60th anniversary with a production of The Slipper And The Rose at Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre on June 22 and 23.
It was always Pat’s dream to dance. Having badgered her parents, she was allowed to take dancing lessons and then trained at the Rambert Studios in London. She danced as a semi professional and then began her own school in 1958 and, 60 years later, she is coaching another generation of young dancers, teaching ballet, tap and modern dance.
Pat is offering free taster lessons for anyone wishing to perform in the Cinderella musical. To book a time at either Immanuel Church Hall, Upham Road or All Saints Church Hall in Southbrook Street call 01793 520420.
