AS spring beckons, take one last visit to the winter wonderland with the Russian State Ballet of Siberia, which will perform The Snow Maiden and Swan Lake at the Wyvern Theatre.
Accompanied by a live orchestra, the ballet will feature a sprinkling of magical special effects.
Tonight is The Snow Maiden, the tale of a beautiful girl protected from the outside world by Father Frost, who plays in the dancing snowflakes in the Land of Frost. Based on a traditional folk tale and set in rural Russia, this wintry treat follows the Snow Maiden into the human world.
On Saturday, the Wyvern welcomes a performance of what is probably the most well known romantic ballet of all time, Swan Lake.
With haunting music by Tchaikovsky, and a story that takes us from the splendour of the palace ballroom to the beauty of a moonlit lake where swans glide in formation, this tragic love story will enchant romantics of all ages.
Swan Lake will be performed twice, with a matinee at 2.30pm and and an evening show at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £32 to £41, with a family discount available. To book, call 01793 524481 or visit swindontheatres.co.uk.
