Swindon rock band Black Sheep Apprentice celebrated the launch of their brand new album Born To Walk Alone at a concert in Swindon.

Inspired by the likes of Johnny Cash, Nick Cave, BB King, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Motorhead, ZZ Top and The Doors to name a few, Black Sheep Apprentice present a unique genre of country music for an adult audience.

  • Mediums Craig Morris and Gareth Lewis join forces for their Eternal Spirits Tour - and will be stopping off at Swindon Arts Centre on Saturday.

They will be working together for the first time, and are inviting a Swindon audience to join together and be in the company of family, friends and loved ones as they share what they say are messages of hope, strength and love from the spirit world.

They hope to show that loved ones are only a thought away and that life really is eternal - with the qualification that any demonstration of mediumship is an experiment and results are not guaranteed.

Tickets for An Audience with Mediums are £13.

  • Enjoy some Easter festivities at the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday at their Eggciting Easter Workshop. This family event invites you to create an eggcellent Easter card and to decorate an Easter basket.

Alternatively, join a Bouncing Bunny workshop on Wednesday and create your own bunny and crunchy carrot in a second Easter-themed family workshop.

Workshops are offered on a first come first served basis, so you may have to wait a short while to take part but there is plenty to see and do while you are waiting – including a Dinosaur Egg Trail.

Both workshops at the museum in Bath Road run from 10.30am to 12.30pm. It costs £2 per child to take part, and parental guidance will be needed.

  • Looking ahead to school holidays next week, the Great Jaydini will be entertaining youngsters aged four to six at an Easter Magic Show at the Wyvern Theatre on Thursday April 5. at 11am. This talented magician will blend comedy and magic in his Easter Magic Show in The Place. A second show, for children aged seven to ten, will take place on April 12. Tickets are £12, including squash and icecream. Adults go free.
