Too Pretty to Punch is a one-person celebration of trans visibility and self-acceptance by actor Ed Day.

Edward/Edalia, who comes from Swindon, describes themself as a trans/non-binary theatre maker, poet, animator and musician and uses they/ them pronouns.

Their new show, which takes place at Shoebox Theatre from 7pm on Sunday, is a mix of clown, mime, music, spoken word and video projection to explore trangender identity and acceptability.

Ed has worked as an actor for over 10 years, in touring Shakespeare productions, physical theatre and children’s theatre, as well as producing new work.

In 2014, they created In the Surface of a Bubble, a fantastical show about a girl struggling to come to terms with a transgender parent, and last year they toured Super Hamlet 64, a one-person remake of Hamlet in the style of a computer game, which will continue to tour this year.

The show is a Shoebox Scratch performance, which gives theatre makers the opportunity to develop and share a new idea in front of an audience.

It also gives audiences a chance to see and support the beginnings of new work before its fully developed, and time to watch, discuss, and be part of the creation of something brilliant.

Tickets are Pay What You Decide - which means you do not have to pay until you have seen a show.
