lThe Wyvern Theatre is hosting a Tea and Tour event this afternoon, when expert guides will lead local theatre fans behind the curtain to tread the boards and explore the backstage secrets of show business - followed by a delicious afternoon tea.

The tour kicks off at 2pm and tickets are £10.

l David Baddiel’s one man show My Family: Not The Sitcom comes to Swindon this weekend.

Following a sell-out run at London’s Menier Chocolate Factory and two critically-acclaimed West End runs, David brings the show to the Wyvern Theatre on Saturday and Sunday nights from 7.30pm.

My Family: Not The Sitcom is about memory, ageing, infidelity, dysfunctional relatives, moral policing on social media, golf and gay cats.

The Olivier-nominated show is described as a disrespectful celebration of the lives of David’s late sex-mad mother, Sarah, and dementia-ridden father, Colin.

Suitable for ages 14 plus, tickets for the show are £29.

lPianist Paul Turner brings the Lunchtime Recital Series to a close on Wednesday, with a piano recital at the Wyvern from 1.05pm.

The programme includes some famous classics, such as Schumann’s Papillons and Grieg’s Wedding Day at Troldhaugen, a lyrical and playful sonata by Haydn and the Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue by JS Bach. Tickets are £6, or free for accompanied children under 14.
