With wit and talent, Neil Innes did it again. The audience was treated to a one man show of depth, humour and feeling. His ability to get people to respond to him is amazing.
There was a lot of love in the house. He sang several of his old hits: Slaves of Freedom and others from Bonzo times, including one written by Neil and Viv Stanshall, one from Monty Python’s Holy Grail movie, a Rutles’ medley and several from Works in Progress CD. He is gifted with an ability to put into words the loneliness we all feel. We are Ego Warriors, and we will protect self esteem wherever we find it. – Michelle Smith
