A SHOW that celebrated a 25-year partnership between one of Swindon’s best known performance pairs has netted more than £2,000 for charity.
In January, Ray Dance and Judith Sharp put on a musical evening called Celebration in aid of Help For Heroes.
They were joined on stage by a number of guests and performed songs and dance from some of their favourite musicals.
And thanks to the generosity of the people of the town, they collected £2,100 for the charity.
The duo have just started work on their next charity musical, Kiss Me Kate, which they will perform at the Arts Centre from June 15 to 19.
Profits from the show will also be donated to the Help For Heroes charity.
“Kiss Me Kate is a fantastic show and a big challenge to stage,” said Judith.
“However, we hope to prove, yet again, that it is possible to stage a full musical on a small stage and still delight the audience.”
