Coming Up...Camping with pigs

Ever wondered what kind of life pigs have at Helen Browning’s organic farm near Swindon? Well, all will be revealed next week at Eastbrook Farm’s Camping With Pigs adventure.

From Thursday to Sunday, visitors can expect clean straw every day – just like their noisy piggy neighbours – along with added open air yoga, daily farm tours and a Land Rover taxi service to and from Helen’s Michelin-recommended pub The Royal Oak.

You can stay in a pig arc or and straw bale houses (both fully booked for the Saturday night) or take along your own motorhome or tent.

Price per person per night (whether supplied or own accommodation) is £18 adults, £12 children. The cost includes use of showers and loos, running water (standpipe) and campsite/village shuttle. Booking is essential.

The novel adventure ties in with the annual Pigstock mini music festival on Saturday, August 14, featuring local bands and folk singer Jo Selbourne. Real ales and food is served from 6pm. For those who are camping, the music is free. For those popping by for the music festival there is a charge of £5 adults and £2 children 12 and under.
