Knife-wielding robber strikes

A MAN was robbed at knifepoint in an underpass on Saturday.

At about 6.30pm the victim was walking through the underpass near Ferndale Road gasworks when he was approached by a man who demanded money.

The man was carrying what appeared to be a bread knife.

He was described as white, between 20 and 25, of skinny build and with short dark hair.

He was wearing shorts and a turquoise vest top with trainers.

He was joined by another man, who was white, with dark hair and dressed in pink, Both were on mountain bikes and sped off in the direction of Cheney Manor.
