X Factor judges heap praise on Jahmene Douglas

X Factor contestent Jahmene Douglas
X-FACTOR star Jahmene Douglas put on a Jah-mazing performance again this week as he booked his place in the next round.
The 21-year-old from Swindon gave a killer performance in the Halloween- themed live show on Saturday.
Despite it being Halloween, Jahmene left the usual vocal tricks at home and ditched the fancy dress as he sang Killing Me Softly, made famous by Robert Flack and The Fugees..
The former Swindon student is going from strength to strength in the competition as he becomes a favourite to win it.
Jahmene suffered from nerves in the audition stages but seems to have shrugged them off for the live performances, where he has said that he feels at home.
Following the performance, Jahmene was called a world class singer by Louis Walsh, who said: “For me, you are the best singer in this competition by a mile – we haven’t had a UK star like you for a long time.”
Jahmene’s mentor, Nicole Sherzinger heaped praise on her boy.
She said: “Jahmene, Jah-mazing. That was so beautiful, it was beautifully understated.
“I told you this week less is more. We all know you are the greatest vocal acrobatic person and today I wanted you to taste and feel every word and make it so honest because so many people have sung that song.
“Now everybody is going to be talking about you singing that song and it was so beautiful.”
Judges Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow also put aside their spat on who had the worst breath to unite in their praise for the young singer.
Tulisa said: “I’m going to start calling you the man who can’t be moved because every week you stand up there and I cannot find one negative critique and it is as simple as that.
“Brilliant performance yet again.”
Gary said: “It was just so simple and effortless tonight and your tone is so gorgeous you didn’t need any tricks at all.
“It was a stunning performance and great song choice.”
