STRICTLY Come Dancing stars were in town this morning as part of the official opening of the Field of Remembrance at Lydiard Park.
Anton Du Beke and Kristina Rihanoff, who are professional dancers from the show, danced in front of Lydiard House while the Miltary Wives Choir from Shrivenham Defence Academy sang a track called ‘Stronger Together’.
Hundreds of people were on hand to watch at the event, which opened the Royal Wootton Bassett Field of Remembrance, which contains 40,000 remembrance crosses.
John Crisford, national vice chairman of the Royal British Legion, said: “It was tremendous to see so many people here today.
"It is so important that we remember the Afghanistan generation and the people that have paid the supreme sacrifice for our freedom.”
