Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault that occurred at 8pm on Friday, November 2 in Thamesdown Drive.
A 44-year-old man from Swindon was involved in an incident with the driver and passengers of a dark car at traffic lights near the junction with Morland Road.
He stopped to speak to the driver but before he could do so a black man and a white man got out the car and punched him to the face and pushed him over onto the ground.
The driver suffered a black eye, facial bruising and painful ribs. The black man is described as aged about 20, of medium build with metal in his teeth and dreadlocks down to his shoulders.
Anyone with information should call PC Tim Titchener at Gablecross via 101.
