ELECTION: Turnout announced in the Blunsdon and Highworth by-election

THE voter turnout in the Blunsdon and Highworth by-election is 32.56 per cent, which is average for a local election
The candidates in the election are Lib Dem Cath Smith, Conservative Steve Weisinger, Labour's Phil Beaumont, Andrew Day for the Greens and John Lenton for UKIP.
The Conservative group needs to hold the seat to maintain majority control of Swindon Council.
The count is now underway.
