X Factor star stands up to TV bosses
JAHMENE stood up to X Factor bosses this week when the Swindon born singer refused to take part in the performance of a song that glorifies alcohol abuse.
The remaining X Factor contestants were due to sing Katy Perry’s Last Friday Night on this Sunday’s result show as part of the guilty pleasures theme.
Teetotal Jahmene is alleged to have shunned the song which contains the lyrics “I smell like a minibar, DJ’s passed out in the yard” and “got kicked out of the bar, so we hit the boulevard.”
An unnamed source told a national paper that the producers had no choice but to change the song after Jahmene’s refusal.
The source said: “The song is about partying and drinking.
“ He has made it clear from the start that he won’t sing songs about drinking and when he heard this track he was adamant he wouldn’t perform it.”

Swindon should be proud to have you representing them.
It takes great courage to stand up for your principles.

If the producers want a contestant to appear in a positive light, they leak a story like this to the press. People think he's a good person and vote to keep him.
If on the other hand the producers decide they want to portray a contestant negatively they show them having a strop and storming off in tears. The public respond by voting that person off.
Ergo, the producers get the winner they want by manipulating the public to vote accordingly.

Nice attempt--but those who watch the show and vote generally vote because they like the performance and are not affected by the hype.
The history of this and other shows does show that many non-winners have very successful careers as folk like what they do and will pay to see them perform--despite all the bad press.

Rylan will win it. I think it will be fixed if he doesn't. People are deliberately voting for him and that other idiot to cause uproar.it's working
