THE town's John Lewis at home store has received more than 100 job applications for 10 Christmas temporary roles.

The Christmas temps employed by John Lewis at home Swindon will support the shop during its extended opening hours throughout the festive period which starts from December 1.

The Christmas temps will fill a variety of selling assistant roles across a number of departments including Christmas shop, furnishing accessories, homeware and electrical technology.

All temporary Partners (staff) will be provided with retail training skills so that they can deliver the exceptional customer service and product knowledge John Lewis is renowned for.

Justin Sysum, personnel manager, said: “When we are recruiting temporary Partners for Christmas, we look for people who appreciate the importance of great customer service and are willing to go that extra mile for customers visiting our shops.

"Making sure that customers enjoy their experience and are satisfied with the service they have received is the number one priority for all our Partners.”
