A PETITION to review the law on police procedure launched by the mum of murdered Becky-Godden Edwards has gained more than 750 signatures in just two weeks.
The Justice For Becky petition seeks a review of PACE in the wake of the sentencing of Christopher Halliwell, 48, of Nythe, last month for the murder of Sian O’Callaghan.
A second charge for Becky’s murder was dropped after evidence was ruled out becasue of a police mistake, for which the lead is being investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
To get a response from the Home Office the petition needs 10,000 signatures.
