THE McArthurGlen’s Swindon Designer Outlet has joined up with Jeff Banks to become the official Bath Rugby formalwear supplier for 2012/13.

Matt Banahan and Dan Hipkiss, who both have England caps to their name, were joined by new signing Nick Koster to wear their tailored suits for the first time, at the team’s iconic training ground - Farleigh House, in Bath.

The suits, designed exclusively for the team, mark the second year the centre and Jeff Banks have teamed up to be the formal wear providers for Bath Rugby.

Tina Cumpstey, centre manager at McArthurGlen’s Swindon, said: “Menswear is one of the key growth categories for us. The Christmas season is when we traditionally see a rise in menswear sales, with formalwear a favourite as men get ready for the festive party season.

"The partnership with Jeff Banks and Bath Rugby unites two of the most well-known men’s brands in the South West, and gives us an excellent platform to celebrate the men’s fashion offering here in the centre, at up to 60 per cent less.”

Jeff Banks is one of Britain’s leading menswear designers, with more than 40 years of experience in the fashion industry.

Jeff Banks offers a range of quality, tailored products, ensuring an exceptional cut and finish. As well as formalwear, the designer also has a broad range of complementing casualwear including polos, t-shirts, casual shirts, jerseywear and jeans.

"We’ve worked hard to ensure the design of the suits reflect both expert tailoring as well as some of the Bath Rugby team spirit," he said.

"The suit we picked together for this season is from our travel range, which has lycra in the cloth to give natural stretch and the ultimate level of comfort, but also has the 'Bionic-Finish', which gives the suit a 'Water repellent finish'.

"We had to specially tailor some of these suits to fit, but due to the classic block and size scales we use on this line, they were kept to a minimum. The suit is one of my top sellers year on year."

Matt Banahan, Bath Rugby and England player, said it was important the team looked professional and well groomed when representing the Club at events and presentations throughout the season.

"We all love the suits, and will be making a trip to McArthurGlen Swindon before Christmas to stock up on some winter pieces," he said.
