FORENSIC science students at Swindon College were challenged to work out what happened in a car crash investigation as part of their course.
The investigation, which was organised by their lecturer, was set in the car park of the college campus, where a car was cordoned off and clues including fake drugs, a blood sample and pay cheque were set inside.
The class of 13 students were told they were road traffic officers and had to collect evidence and ask witnesses what happened to work out what happened.
Their lecturer Kenny Wheeler played characters as part of the scenario, including a doctor, a representative from the DVLA and a policeman.
Kenny said: “The challenge was set for one of their units on the Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science course.
"They really enjoyed the investigation and it was a great learning experience for them.”
