THE MASSIVE Ridgeway Farm development, near Purton, has been given outline planning approval by the Government after a campaign by residents and councils.
Developer Taylor Wimpey was involved in a planning inquiry in May following opposition to the 700-home estate by both Swindon and Wiltshire Councils.
Eric Pickles, the communities secretary, has now granted outline permission in line with the recommendation from inspector, Katie Peerless.
