Flat residents given warning
RESIDENTS living in blocks of flats in North Swindon are being urged to take extra care over who they let in to the buildings after a known thief was found wandering the corridors in one complex.
In another building, 15-year-olds were found smoking cannabis in a stairwell. A North Swindon police spokesman said: “Please only buzz in people you know and if you see people loitering give us a call on 101 and we’ll come and talk to them.
"There are ‘trade’ buttons on some buildings where anyone can get in. These usually should stop working after noon, and we’ve found these people during evening patrols.”
