X FACTOR sensation Jahmene Douglas will be one of the town’s hottest tickets in years when he makes a homecoming appearance at a town centre nightclub.

The star will roll out his silky vocals at Bushwackers and Sin after winning over millions of TV viewers in his emotional journey to the runner’s-up spot.

The ASDA worker switched on the Christmas lights earlier this month as 28,000 people crowded into the town centre – but his guest appearance on Boxing Day will be the first time he has performed at a Swindon music venue since shooting to fame.

He follows fellow X Factor contestants, including MK1, Jade Ellis, District 3, Rylan Clark and Union J, in making an appearance at the Fleet Street club.

All the acts were full of praise for Nicole Sherzinger’s “little lamb” – but the 21-year-old singer had yet to confirm his appearance until the weekend.

Winner James Arthur, whose single Impossible is the fastest-selling release in the history of the ITV1 show, will appear on Sunday.

VIP tickets sold out in 45 minutes – but demand to see Jahmene take the stage in his hometown is expected to be even bigger.

Speculation was already rife on Twitter that he would appear after his fellow finalists made the trip to Swindon.

The former New College student, who won universal praise from the judges, will perform songs and take part in a meet-and-greet with VIP guests.

Described as shy and sensitive, he grew in confidence over the course of the show and showed a taste for nightlife by partying at Mahiki in Mayfair with other contestants.

Bushwackers general manager Sara Quinn said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to bits to have landed Jahmene. It’s the icing on the cake after having so many contestants visit straight after leaving the live finals.

“As well as a local boy he is one of the most talented singers the X Factor has ever seen and no doubt he will have many friends who will want to come and see him as well as countless new fans.

“We feel very privileged to be part of Jahmene’s journey and look forward to finishing our exclusive X Factor season with a bang.”

Fans are advised to turn up early on the evening to avoid queues and ensure a place inside the club.

I am sure woodside lady will be in front of you in the queue!

I hope he does well as I hope eveyone does in their chosen profession. Maybe it is just a sad indictment on Swindon that so few actually make anything of themsleves so when they do some go completely mad!!!

Give it a year and I bet like all the other performers from Swindon he wont even mention it anymore! His life will never be the same again and most of the time he wont even have a say in it, I hope he doesnt live to regret it as more than a few do.
