FITNESS fanatics are invited to work up a sweat in the name of charity early next year.

A four-hour charity Body Combat session will be held on Saturday, February 2 in aid of Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

Body Combat is an exercise class combining different martial arts disciplines, including kickboxing and Tai Chi. It features a wide range of punching and kicking moves as well as cardiovascular training to create an intense workout.

The Combatathon event will be held at DW Sports Gym at the Orbital Shopping Park from 9am to 1pm. There is an entry fee of £10 and those who take part in the gruelling fundraiser are expected to raise as much cash as they can for the charity.

Last year 30 combatters raised £3,000 for Prospect Hospice and were put through their paces by instructors Lorraine Collins, Kerry Clifford, Natalie Mitchell and Claire Murray. If you would like to take part, email Joanna.freeman708@mod.uk
