Mayan Calendar: World ends December 21 - Live Coverage

Swindon Advertiser: Mayan calendar Mayan calendar

The 5,125-year cycle in the ancient Mayan calendar draws to an ominous end on Friday. Could this be it? We can't offer shelter from Armageddon. We can't even provide sticky tape should 'zero hour' merely result in a reversal of the Earth's magnetic field. But we will be monitoring the planet's vital signs throughout the course of the day, bringing you the best doomsday stories from across our stricken world. Follow our coverage - live:

I have a logical explanation for this.

The bloke who was writing the Mayan calendar got writer's cramp then his wife called him in for dinner so he thought to himself "That'll do. I'll leave it there. That's far enough in the future" :)

Complete nutjobs, just like the ones who believe there is some superbeing who is going to look after them. If people got on with living their own lives and based it on their own inner strength instead of looking outside of themsleves and basing their lfve around some thousand your old story book, the world would be a better place. You can be loving and caring and compasionate and honest without having to do it because some book tells you to, when are we going to wake up and get real?
Happy Xmas by the way lol!!!!!
