Christmas changes to recycle collections in Swindon
THERE will be changes to waste and recycling collections over the Christmas and New Year period.
Swindon Council’s contractor, Swindon Commercial Services Ltd, will stop garden waste collections from now until December 31.
Residual and plastics collections due on Christmas Day should be carried out on December 24 with any carry-over done on December 27.
Collections due on Boxing Day should be carried out on December 27 and 28. New Year’s Day will be collected as normal.
There will be no kerbside recycling box collections for December 25 and 26, so residents are asked to leave out the boxes on the next available collection day – January 1 or 2.
