Here's what you read in 2012
THERE have been some big stories in Swindon during the past 12 months – and we can now reveal the most popular ones according to figures from our website.
Topping the list is from January and is about the body of a man being discovered in the River Ray, which was viewed more than 30,000 times.
The next most popular story was our live updates of the Olympic Flame make its journey through Swindon in May (19,926 views) closely followed by two articles about relating to the sonic boom that shook buildings across the town back in April (18,734 and 18,455).
Other stories in our top 10 list were firefighters tackling a huge blaze at a scrapyard near Royal Wootton Bassett, an appeal to help find Sam Theobold-Brown, Jahmene coming home to Swindon and Christopher Halliwell being jailed for the murder of Sian O’Callaghan.
