FIELDS surrounding Cricklade were left under water after the River Thames burst its banks.
Hundreds of acres of farmland between Cricklade and Ashton Keynes flooded following days of torrential rain.
No residential buildings were affected as a result of the flooding but pictures show that some of the fields had floodwater affecting livestock.
The Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called out to one incident of flooding in Wroughton on New Year’s Eve.
A crew from Swindon attended the call at 1.15pm and at 2.50pm with the road submerged by flood waters.
The water was not a risk to the nearby buildings and was left to recede naturally.
