Josh Kumra is hoping for another hit
12:10pm Friday 4th January 2013 in News By Matthew Edwards
Swindon singer/songwriter Josh Kumra releases his second solo single this weekend
POP star Josh Kumra is eagerly awaiting the release of his second solo single this weekend.
The 21-year-old has said that 2013 is going to be a big year for him with the release of his debut album and a tour.
Josh is teaming up with another up and coming star Lianne La Havas at the end of February for a tour which could see him heading back to Swindon.
The former Headlands School pupil released his debut solo track Helicopters And Planes in July and is back with his follow-up single Waiting For You, which will be available to buy from Sunday.
His new single, which is now available to pre-order on iTunes, has already been praised by Radio One DJ Fearne Cotton.
Josh said: “I feel like this single is where I want to be and shows who I want to be as an artist.
“I would love to get into the top 40 with this single, it is all part of my journey. This is something I have been working towards for four years now. I think 2013 is going to be a busy year for me.”
Josh is rapidly developing a name for himself as a gutsy and heartfelt performer and songwriter.
There are seven dates on his tour, which kicks off with a headline gig at The Louisiana in Bristol on February 27, and Josh is hoping to add a date to the schedule which will see him performing in Swindon.
