Police patrols are increased
PATROLS are being increased in the Abbey Meads area after break-ins to two garages.
On both occasions the garages were insecure, so it is possible the offenders are walking around the estates between midnight and dawn trying doors to see which were open.
Police are asking people to lock all doors, park cars close to the garage door so it cannot be opened, and if anyone is seen wandering in the area in the early hours who is not recognised, call the police straight away.
Anyone with information which may help to solve these crimes should call 101 and ask to speak to the Priority Crime Team, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
