Accused of double robbery in Swindon
A 21-year-old who is accused of robbing the same man twice over a six-week period has been released on bail by a judge.
Rhys Carey is said to have carried out the first offence on Gipsy Lane, on September 10, taking £4. He is then accused of robbing the same victim in the town on October 19, taking £15.
No charges were formally put to Carey, of Bath Road, Devizes, and he did not enter any pleas during a hearing at Swindon Crown Court.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to March 15. He released Carey on bail on condition he does not have contact with witnesses and stays out of Swindon.
