Seminar aims to boost employment for disabled
12:10pm Thursday 10th January 2013 in News
Basepoint Swindon
A FREE breakfast seminar will take place this month to help the town’s business community learn more about how disabled people in the area are being helped into employment.
Basepoint Swindon will host a seminar with SEQOL energy2work on January 23 from 8.30am until 9.30am.
SEQOL energy2work is a social enterprise that provides support to people who have a disability or health condition through its supported employment programme.
Lyn Chapman, centre manager at Basepoint Swindon, said: “Unfortunately, for many disabled people there are real barriers that prevent them from gaining employment.
“When they do succeed, the benefits can be significant, not only for them as individuals, but also for their employers.”
The seminar is open to all employers and their representatives, but space is limited.
For more information phone Basepoint Swindon on 01793 608800 or email them at swindon@basepoint.co.uk.
