Wiltshire Commissioner to spread the word on police and crime plan

POLICE and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon Angus Macpherson will be visiting community meetings in the town to talk about the Police and Crime Plan.

The Commissioner is set to attend Wiltshire Council Area Boards and Swindon Council locality meetings in January and February to tell councillors and the public of the plan.

The plan will set the strategic direction of policing in Wiltshire and Swindon for the next five years. As well as working with the police, it will include working with partners, such as local authorities and voluntary community sector organisations.

As well as visiting the area boards and locality meetings, Mr Macpherson will be consulting with the voluntary and community sector at workshops in Swindon this week.

From about mid February members of the public will be able to give their feedback on a draft version of the plan at wiltshire-pcc.gov.uk.

The meetings he will attend include:

  • The Arts Centre, Thursday, January 31, 6.30pm

     Oaktree School, Park South, Thursday, January 31, 7pm

  • Meadowcroft Community Rooms, Upper Stratton, Tuesday, February 5, 7pm

  • Savernake Halls, Tuesday, February 5, 7pm l South Brook All Saints Community Church, Thursday, February 28, 7pm
