PROSPECT Hospice are looking for people to sign up to their Walk of Memories event next week.

The scenic five-mile sponsored walk takes place on March 3 around the Cotswold Lakes, and is an opportunity to remember a friend or loved one, or simply to enjoy a peaceful and reflective walk with your family in support of your local hospice.

Taking around two hours to complete, the walk starts at the Cotswold Water Park Four Pillars Hotel at 10.30am, and follows the footpaths and bridleways that run around several of the lakes in the area, including the picturesque Thames and Severn Canal, before ending back at the Four Pillars, where there will be a hot drink waiting.

The walk is on varied terrain and not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead and Janet’s Puppy Skool visited the hospice in the week to help encourage other dog walkers to take part.

Online registration is now open at www.prospect-hospice.net.

You can also register for the event by calling fundraising on 01793 816161. Adult tickets are £8, and child tickets are £2. The hospice hopes participants will be able to raise £80 per person in sponsorship or £150 per couple.
