Yuong Swindon artists asked to design a bag for store service

LOCAL school children are being asked to design artwork for a special shopping bag to help promote the new Click & Collect service at Tesco Extra.

The service, which enables customers to order their shopping online and collect it without getting out of their car, was introduced to the Swindon store before Christmas.

Now, primary schools are being invited to come up with a design for 500 jute bags for the town, based on the new service.

Drawings should be crayon, fun and upbeat and can show pictures of families picking up groceries in their car. The winner will get £250 for the school and £50 for themselves. The winning drawing by a local child will then be printed on the side of the bags.

To enter the competition, send drawings to Freedman Brown Communications, Wigan Investment Centre, Waterside Drive, Wigan WN3 5BA.

Stuart Edgington, manager of the store in Ocotal Way, said: “We are very excited to be able to offer this new service to our customers.”

What a sad lot of people you are, we all make mistakes, I notice that other shops like Aldi, Iceland ,haven't been the brunt of the jokes. I expect you lot have eaten a few of the burgers in the past, but wouldn't admit too it.!

No No pet. Not sad. Just seeing the funny side. As for the burgers? Nope! Haven't touched one. But I have enjoyed horse steaks ( and once a stunning horse goulash). I believe the phrase is "yummy".
