Cadets joined by former members to mark birthday
CADETS and Staff of 2003 (Stratton) Squadron of the Air Training Corps have celebrated their 10th anniversary. Cadets and staff were joined by former members of the Squadron last weekend at the Masonic Lodge, in Old Town.
Commanding Officer Flt Lt Keith Head said: “It was great to see so many of our ex-cadets, many of whom travelled long distances in the bad weather to be with us for the evening.” The Squadron was officially formed on January 1, 2003, and meets at The Scout Hall, in Taylor Crescent.
The Air Training Corps is better known as the Air Cadets and is open to boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 20. The Squadron is recruiting new cadets and would also like a new instructor who would be able to teach a radio communication course.
