Man accused of burglary in Castle Eaton

Swindon Crown Court Swindon Crown Court

A MAN has appeared before a judge accused of taking part in a burglary at a house in Castle Eaton.

Nicholas Overton is said to have been involved in the break in at the detached house on The Street in the middle of the village.

It is alleged the 27-year-old took part in the raid on Tuesday November 11 when an iPad, jewellery and other items, to the value of £1,000, were taken.

No charge was formally put to Overton, of Botley Road, Oxford, and he did not enter a plea during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court. Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday April 5 and released him on conditional bail until then.
